Advancing the careers of people with lived experience
Our Services
We work with foundations, governments, non-profits, and for-profits to create pathways of upward mobility for staff, management, leadership, and boards across organizations and communities.
-
Communities of Practice designed for and by persons with lived experience and centered on creating a dynamic and collaborative space for folks as they gain the skills and tools needed to advance their careers. Our six-month cohorts focus on key areas of progressive development, including Leadership, Leading with Authenticity, Building Management Skills, Supporting Self and Others, Systems of Care, and Thriving Organizations. This space celebrates group and individual accomplishments and creates learning opportunities from subject matter experts.
-
Our two-day leadership workshop is a condensed version of our cohort series for people with lived experience and/or their managers. We focus on group support, foster collaboration, and discuss topics from our core curriculum, including Leadership, Leading with Authenticity, Building Management Skills, Supporting Self and Others, Systems of Care, and Thriving Organizations.
-
Our 1.5-month organizational leadership series is an in-depth training for leaders within the community, including Executive Directors, Board Members, Executive Team Members, and/or Directors and Managers. We focus on our core curriculum and facilitate group collaboration through activities and facilitated conversations. This virtual series includes three 90-minute sessions and is recommended to be coupled with coaching.
-
Our professional coaching for individuals with lived experience emphasizes the authenticity of their identity and experiences, while fostering their professional development. Sessions are one hour long and held biweekly, with a minimum commitment of six months.
-
LEAP4ward supports communities and organizations by assessing their existing policies, hiring practices, and cultures and offers them ways to improve and build a stronger, safer, person-centered approach that is inclusive of people with lived experience.
Who We Are
Our founders experienced homelessness and were able to advance their careers in the housing and homeless sector to become executive leaders and nationally recognized experts. Their paths were far from easy, which is why they are deeply committed to making the journey easier for others.
LEAP4ward is dedicated to breaking down barriers, opening doors, and creating clear pathways for people with lived experience to achieve upward mobility in the workplace.
